Nezo: Free carbon, cost, & mass analysis tool

A free, workflow-integrated carbon, cost and mass tool for building frame performance analysis — funded by Mid-Rise Wood Construction (MRWC).

Nezo and MRWC partnership

Workflow-integrated tool for low-carbon design

Nezo (formerly V-Quest), a Christchurch-founded building analytics company, has created a platform that embeds live cost, carbon and mass data directly into design workflows - making it easier for teams to understand material impacts as they design, and make confident, evidence-led decisions that support low-carbon outcomes, including timber.

MRWC has partnered with Nezo to make a free version of the tool available to the New Zealand industry.

Free but fit-for-purpose

When it comes to software tools, “free” usually means limited and unhelpful functionality. Not here.

This version is full strength and fit-for-purpose, delivering meaningful early-stage insights, clearer comparisons, and outputs you can put in front of decision-makers.

Features available through the free MRWC version:

✔️ Revit, SketchUp & ArchiCAD compatibility
✔️ Automated material quantities
✔️ Integrated cost, carbon & mass calculation
✔️ Material Comparison Insights
✔️ Benchmark library
✔️ Carbon A1–A3 LCA reporting
